Bear and Marmot in Germany and the Czech Republic

We also took a day trip to Budweis, home of Budweiser beer. No, not that stuff from St. Louis, but Budweiser beer. Budweis is the old German name for the city, located a long two and a half train ride south of Prague--maybe all of 100 kilometers or so. The Czech name is Ceske Budovice. Unfortunately, the English tour of the brewery started at 12:15, and the train arrived at noon, so no brewery tour for us. |

To the left, Chris stands alongside City Hall. Later, we walked along the street and had lunch in the old meat-market, now a restaurant. Chris ordered something that on the menu read "Secrets of the Cloister" (in German). He had no idea what it was, but he said it was yummy!
